Veritree Dashboard Experience

April 2024 • UI/UX Design • Figma

Veritree is a tree-planting startup based in Vancouver. This is how I redesigned Veritree's dashboard experience.

Problem Space

User: corporate customer

Goal: reorganize/structure display and content in Dashboard so that users can digest information more easily

Pain Points:
• Users are not able to see pre-planting and post-planting process (users want to see trees are growing pre-planting, post-planting phase, how trees are growing)
• Users are unclear what they see in current design

Context:
• Corporate user assigned budget for a corporate project consisting of planting 13,000 trees, and they want to view progress
• 3 Steps of Verification process: Level 1 -> Level 2 (partnering manager) -> Level 3 (Veritree)

Constraints & User Flow

Constraints

• Map: Green icons are planting sessions, grey icons for sensors, sounds, birds, insects, how it impacts bio diversity

• Key:
- How to reorganize/restructure the information
- Add couple more info(pre,post-planting phases) how might we want to re-organize

Key Design Elements

• Photos
• GPS map
• number of trees for species
• planting lead

Current User Flow

  1. Client assigns a corporate project

  2. Veritree builds/assigns portfolio
data collection (# of planters, how many trees planted, what species, image, video) in the field

  3. display data

New User Flow

Client assigns a corporate project through an app
data collected for pre-planting phase in the app is stored

>

Veritree builds/assigns portfolio

>

Gather evidence, and show real-time post planting followup

>

• Display accurate process of verification (3steps)
• Display evidence(how many trees are alive, measurements)
